My Wife and I were first introduced to Jeb through this website in January 2012, when I inquired about a particular property that had been relisted for sale. The property we purchased was a short sale, and it turned out to be quite a challenging experience for Jeb and my family. We had issues with the sellers not having their paperwork done correctly, issues with the short sale lender not being flexible on a close date and worst of all, issue with my lender in more areas than I wish to discuss.
In this process, with escrow rapidly approaching, I was completely frustated with my lender and their ability to deliver on promises made. Jeb was there and saw that I was frustrated. He took the initiative and contacted the lender getting hourly updates to try to save a purchase that was quickly slipping away. On the very last day when the offer was set to expire, our lender finally got our paperwork to escrow… however it was too late to fund and record in time to meet the short sale bank’s requirement, causing the deal to expire.
Jeb advised us to go ahead and sign all the escrow documents in hopes the bank would reconsider and accept funding a day late. After a stressful weekend, Jeb called us Monday morning saying that the bank will allow our purchase and to go ahead and fund our downpayment. At that point, I had a sense of relief, or so I thought! The following morning, when my lender finally funded the loan we were still missing an item… the transfer tax, which Jeb was able to resolve.
I can honestly say without any hesitation that my family hit the jackpot with Jeb Smith. I would recommend him to anybody interested in purchasing a home. He will represent you in the best possible way and is incredibly responsive to all questions, regardless how dumb they may seem. Had I known that Jeb also had his own mortgage company prior to my pre-appoval, I can guarantee you that I would have gone with hims as well.
