Pier Colony is a resort style condo community located on Pacific Coast Highway in downtown
Huntington Beach. The address associated with the complex is 200 Pacific Coast Highway. It’s location really can’t be beat as it’s only half a block to Main Street, The Huntington Beach Pier along with Duke’s and Pacific City (coming in 2015).
Pier Colony is made up of 130 units ranging from lofts to 2 bedroom units. The lofts are the smaller of the floor plans with only 861 sq/ft of living space while the 1 bedroom/1 Bath units are in the 960 sq/ft range and laid out very well. The 2 bedroom properties have 2.5 bathrooms and 1339 sq/ft of living space. All units in Pier Colony offer some sort of outdoor living space whether it be a patio or balcony. The views in from each of the units range from a direct ocean view to views of downtown Huntington Beach.
In addition to its location, Huntington Pier Colony also offers resort like amenities for all their guests. These amenities include a salt water pool and spa, a gym with treadmills and elliptical’s overlooking the ocean, a large clubhouse with a full sized kitchen. All of the parking is subterranean and gated. In addition to your parking, you also have access to a private separate storage closet in the parking area where you can store larger items like a bicycle or surfboard.
The property is gated with security 24 hours a day/ 7 days a weekend requires a key for access . The entire property was just painted within the last few years and all 4 elevators in the complex were just renovated as well. Currently the HOA is $458/month and has been fixed for the last 5 years at this amount. The HOA told me that at this time, they have no plans to raise that amount going forward.
If you are interested in buying a property to lease in Huntington Pier Colony, keep in mind that the HOA has a 90 day requirement on all leases so a month to month lease is not an option.
